On the Interplay between Mathematical Analysis and Traffic Modeling.

Rinaldo Colombo
Università di Brescia

Mathematical Analysis offers a variety of tools to Traffic Modeling which, in turn, offers a variety of questions and problems. The present talk overviews recent results of this interplay. From the Mathematical Analysis point of view, the subject of the talk falls within control/game problems based on ODEs or PDEs. From the Traffic Modeling point of view, it concerns the efficiency of road networks and incident detection.
