Technology meets High Fashion: Experimenting with a Visual Engine for Fashion

I will present a comprehensive approach to automatically understanding and modeling fashion from a computational vision perspective. I will discuss how we learned shape, structure, pattern and style in an almost automated manner from millions of images crawled from the web. I will then share our experience in designing a fashion search engine and share some of the insights on user feedback and response. This is joint work with Dr. Sudhir Singh and the StileEye team.
