Higher dimensional trees, chips and matroids

I will discuss a number of the topics from the overview -- spanning trees, chip-firing/sandpile models, and matroids in higher dimensions. We consider the classical (graph) theory case as the one-dimensional picture and generalize to simplicial and cellular complexes.
