In the second part of the lectures we discuss a Boltzmann mean field games model for knowledge growth in a society. The model was proposed by the economists Robert E. Lucas and Benjamin Moll to understand knowledge exchange and economic growth in a society. We discuss the underlying interaction rules as well as the analysis of the corresponding Boltzmann mean-field games. In particular we are interested in the construction of balanced growth path solutions, which ensure exponential economic growth.
Recitations: we shall discuss the numerical discretization of the respective models using Matlab or Python programs.
