Higher representations and low-dimensional topology

I will discuss higher representations of Lie algebras and related structures. They are expected to give rise to quantum field theories in dimension $4$ and higher. Many moduli spaces should appear as higher representations. I will discuss in particular joint work with Andy Manion on a higher representation-theoretic approach to Heegaard-Floer theory.
