Third-generation gravitational-wave detectors will provide enormous scientific opportunity. Full realization of that opportunity will require significant computing resources. In this talk I will first review aspects of the distributed computing architecture used for second-generation analyses, and then discuss how this may need to evolve to support analysis of third-generation detectors. I will highlight which aspects of these analyses are the most domain-specific, and the software engineering challenges that specificity raises. Finally I will I will offer some suggestions on how to meet these challenges.
