Numeric Methods for Reachability with Applications to Vehicle Problems.

Matthew Kirchner
University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB)

This talk discusses some recent advances in numeric methods to solve certain classes of the Hamilton-Jacobi PDE that relate to the unique challenges of vehicle problems. Two such examples are discussed: The automated landing of a helicopter under complete engine failure as well coordination of heterogenous multiple vehicle systems.
