On the convergence of discrete inverse Sturm-Liouville problems on finite difference optimal grids

We propose and prove convergence of an inversion algorithm for
discrete inverse Sturm-Liouville problems on optimal finite
difference grids.

This work is in collaboration with V. Druskin (Schlumberger-Doll)
and L. Knizhnerman (Central Geophysical Expedition, Russia).
