Congratulations to Yang Wang as the newly appointed Dean of Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)! As chair of the Math department at HKUST since 2014, Wang has been IPAM’s partner in organizing RIPS-Hong Kong, recruiting industry sponsors to contribute projects to the summer research program. While Wang was a professor at the University of Michigan, he also spoke at IPAM’s 2013 workshop on Adaptive Data Analysis and Sparsity. We look forward to our continued partnership with Wang through RIPS-Hong Kong.
