Air Travel on Foreign
Airlines
Our grant requires that all airline travel (both domestic
and international) be ticketed through an American carrier. However, you may travel on a foreign airline
that has an alliance with an American carrier (almost all do). Simply contact the appropriate American
company, request the airline you wish,
and make sure the American company issues the ticket. The following is a listing of the largest alliances.
Please note that the members of these groups can change so please verify that
the American carrier and the foreign carrier you wish to use are in the same
alliance and that the trip is booked through the American carrier. This
list is current as of July 21, 2003.
